Year 2008, Week 34

Monday
Badminton at 7am. The week started off with a sales meeting in the morning. In principle, the client has agreed to award the project to us but we will need to furnish them with the final quotation. Afternoon was another meeting with my existing client and nothing to shout about.

Tuesday
This was a wonderful day as I got my pay cheque for a job I did. What a nice way to start my day. The afternoon was even more exciting. I did a speed dating for business. Each of us is given a minute to introduce ourselves and once the time is up, we swap seat and talk to a new person in the line. The cycle goes on until the allocated time is used up. Soon, we wrote down the person that I would like to work with and submit to the organizer. Later, we were put into cluster to share our business ideas.

Wednesday
Worked at home to catch up the work that has been piling up.

Thursday
As usual. I attended my BNI meeting at 7.30am. I need to rush off to do a presentation at 9.30am. As such, I have to leave early. I have 2 referral for the day, one for Bin Yen and one for David.

Avinash and myself was lucky and we early for my presentation. Generally, the show went pretty well and we managed to answer all the questions that our client raised. We have a good feeling about this job. True enough, we received an email from our client that the job has been awarded to us.

I met up with Jeff to discuss on the portal we are developing. We had dinner at Din Tai Fong.

Friday
Played badminton at 7am. No joke. Both my wife and Jia Wei have improved quite a fair bit and they are making me run this time. What an exhausting morning. Nothing much in the afternoon. At 4pm, I secretly booked a table and bought my wife to a very nice dinner at Imperial Treasure. It cost us SGD 130.00 but it was worth it. We had beef, scallop, soup, vegetable and mushroom. This is some kind of celebration as I have closed 2 business deal in this week amounting to some SGD 50,000.00. I promised my wife that I will always do something special when I close a business. We was in the party mode and we told ourselves that we have to party on Sat.

Saturday
Went Cafe Cartel for breakfast. Oh my god. I almost lost my wallet!!!! Lucky enough, I discover that my wallet was missing and went back to the restaurant to retrieve it. The wallet must have slip out of my pocket.

In afternoon, I sent some SMS to my friends and we decided to meet up for party. We ended up at thepumproom and wine bar at zouk. Had quite some drinks that night. 2 Long Island Tea, 1 Baileys, 1 Margarita.

Sunday
Went to Long House for Prawn Noodle in the morning. After that, went to Guang Ming Shan Temple to pray to Guan Yin. Did some shopping at Toa Payoh and went home to do work. The rest of my Sunday was working and chatting. Spend sometime understanding the relationship problems that 2 of my friends encountered.
