Played badminton at 7am. Begin my week to collect some material from my client's place and at the same time, collect my pay cheque. Yippee!!!! My wife came along and we had lunch at IMM. Nothing much the rest of the day.
Tuesday
Since I am sponsoring http://www.flatworldconcept.com/ we had a meeting with all the supporting members of the web team. Flatworld is a networking group originated from Malyasia and is currently recruiting members in Singapore.
Wednesday
Played badminton at 7am. Made an appointment to meet up with Eileen, an ex-colleague working in the job market now. Apart from doing my networking, I was there to explore the possibility to give Eileen as a referral to Amelie (a supportive BNI Members). I realise that I have not pass her any referrals. We had Bao Jin Tien (Local Tim Sum Criusine) with Eileen together with my wife.
Quickly we went over to Toa Payoh to meet Cindy, my fellow BNI member that specialized in Dr's Secret. We did mask and try out some other products. They have got good stuff! We ended up buying some of their products. Something interesting to know. My client's database was full and I was doing some maintenance for them while I was trying the mask. Please see the image below. That was exactly what I was doing.
In the evening, I received a good news that I was awarded a job from a financial institution amounting to SGD 25,000.00. I was trilled as I have spent the past 6 months building up the relationship. This was indeed a nice reward for my effort.
Thursday
BNI Meeting in the morning then go over to Emily Hill to meet 2 of the designer I met at the CIX Networking event. We exchange ideas and explore the different way we could work together. It was a fruitful trip though.
Friday
Played badminton at 7am. Jia Wei also came over to join us. After the game, I ran over to meet Albert from BNI. Here, we exchange ideas and learn from one another. He passed me 3 contacts that maybe able to help me in my work.
Next stop, Kent Ridge Tutors, a client who I have served for the past 3 years. There are change request in their system and I am assisting them to gather the requirements from the users. After lunch, I have a meeting with the Corp Comm team of ASME where we discussed abt the content management system that they have being operating for the past 1 month. I wanted to see if there are any improvement required. Surprisingly, ASME was pleased with the system and did not ask for any further improvements. We ended up discussing on how to increase the web traffic.
Saturday
Usual routine of a weekend. Breakfast with my wife followed by shopping. We bought a few DVD though. At 10.30pm, MISS CRAZY - Adeline called and asked if we want to go for a drink. I really think she just has that X-Factor to call upon the spirit in us to go. My wife, Jia Wei, Chen Lim and myself ended up at Holland Village with Adeline for a drink. Quite fun though and we all did not regret going out. So thank you MISS CRAZY!!! My wife actually asked Jia Wei to bottom-up hsi beer and he ended up drunk and was tearing in the pub. Haaaa.
Sunday
We went to pray respect to our ancestor as this is the month of the hungry ghost. We got lots of paper money, gold bar, coins, food and fruits. Met up with my mum in the afternoon and rest for the remaining part of my Sunday.
