A buzy day ahead. Went to Merchant Court to meet an investor who wanted to do some sort of a portal online. Great vision and I am going to revert with a quotation shortly. Looks like another 12 months covered for the entire 2009. Thanks to my partners.

Had another meeting to finalize the requirements of a partner's web site. And then I rushed over to Bukit Batok for lunch. Yuki brought me to Botak Jones and the food is quite nice. After lunch, went over to meet a client nearby to finalize their web design. Fruitful meeting and the concept should be approved within days.

Last stop was another client who wanted to meet me with respect to system implementation and grant. I am rather surprise that with a staff strength of 5, they are looking at investing on customized solutions. Though I have discouraged them from doing so, I have also given them a estimated figure if they should engage me. I told them that they could save as much as 20K and put them into better use than to invest in a system. Just budget a fraction of this cost and acquire an accounting software.

Many would have said that I am crazy. Why should I walk away from a client who is prepared to pay for my services? But for me, if I allow this client to grew bigger, I may get a bigger quantum in future. I can do a sales speech to get the job, but at the end of the day, I will not be able to justify my client's spending. I hate to be in a meeting with the client solving a issue why the system did not work for them or that their performance did not increased.

Was home early and my wife cooked. She did stirred-fry carrot and herbal steam cod-fish. Superb. But after dinner, I started to feel uncomfortable. Not the food but I think I am overworked. Soon, I started to run a temperature and I decided to rest early.
