10/11 Oct 2008 - Dating with my wife

Apart from touring, it has been a while since we go out to enjoy ourselves, especially watching a movie. So, we decided to watch EAGLE EYE on friday evening.

Good movie. The action never stop since it started. I like the way the show was filmed but I have to admit that there are small traces of shows like Matrix, iRobot, War Games, Dejavu but it is still quite original. Highly recommended for action pack movie goers.

On Sat, we decided to proceed to City Hall, Coffee and Toast for our breakfast. The kaya bun and the otah bun is our favourite. If you have not try this, please please please. Go and try it. Highly recommended and I am sure, Ya Kun and Wang Jiao will be of secondary standard. I will remember to take a photo and place in my blog the next time.

I then went to serve a customer along Keppel Rd for 15min before driving to Marina Square. My wife wanted to catch another movie but there isn't a good movie available at GV Marina. So, we ended up playing video games and pool.

Please dun under-estimate her pool skill. She is quite good. We play 4 games and it a draw. But we decided not to play on as we are beginning to feel bored.

Below is a shot I took when she is executing the professional strike.

And yet another closed up shot featuring a professional at play. Just look at her eye!! It is full of concentration and determination. Look at the way she place her fingers!!! Wow!!!!

After the game, we went shopping. She visited a few of her favourite stores like ZARA, MANGO and BEBE. As for me, I also visited my favourite store like NAUTICA and LACOSTE.

As we walked down Marina Square, I notice this interesting promotion at Billy Bomber. Obama Chicken Burger - 1 for 1 offer. How did the election in the US finds it way to Singapore? Then I saw another banner at the shop front, Republicans and Democrats are welcomed!!! Haaaa!!!!!

Finally, we decided to go home to take a rest. Had lunch at Sarawak Kolo Mee and then we drove home using KPE. Wow!!! KPE is great. It took us 15min to travel from Marina back to Seng Kang.

We rest till 5pm and left home for dinner. After having our Meatballs at iKEA, we went over to DownTown East for a walk. It is packed with people and more shops has opened. It is quite an happening place and if you want to know more abt this place. We will be visiting DownTown East again on Sun. We want to check out some of the eateries here. Come back to my blog for a more detailed coverage of DownTown East.

Though we have eaten our dinner, we still cannot resist our temption and tried the following food and drinks. The milk tea is great but it is abit too sweet. The carrot cake wrapped in fried eye wasn't nice at all. The taste somehow did not blend in.

Our final destination was at White Sand Shopping Centre and we visited Videoezy. Hoping that we could get some budget DVD from the ex-rented section but we did not have much luck. Finally, we spotted our favourite cartoon character in DVD - Crayon Sin Chan. This kid is funny and is such a idiot. We are going to watch it at home. Haaaaaaa If you do not know who is Sin Chan, I have included a pic of this cartoon character.

Please email me if you want to watch this kid in action, we have a full collection in VCD. This cartoon is for adult and you will not regret watching it. Laugh till you drop!!!! Parents, please be reminded that this is not for minor and I do not suggest you to play it for your kids.

This is a u-tube video that you can watch online.

Sentosa Stayover - 6/7/8 Oct

On 6 Oct, my uncle-in-laws check in to Sentosa Silo Beach Resort after visiting Genting, a continuation trip from Hong Kong. He like that place so much that he decided to forgo his booking at Furama Hotel and extended his stay at Sentosa. We visited him for dinner and we both felt in love with that place too and decided to stayover for a day. We left that evening and went home to get ready for another eventful day at Sentosa.

On 7 Oct, we woke up early in the morning and went over to our favourite Lor Mee Stall at Old Airport Rd Market for our breakfast. Soon, we drove in to Sentosa and parked our car at the Resort. Since, it is not check-in time, we visited my uncle-in-law.

Sydney and all my cousin-in-law has already woke up. Here she did a pose for us. She study in an international school in Jarkata. So, she can converse in English and it is much easier for me.

We went around the hotel area and lit ooks different in the day.

Soon, we join the entire group to visit the Luge Station to get the skate down experience. We passed by the cafe and while waiting for the tram, I took some photo.

Some beautiful flowers captured my attention and I switch to MACRO mode and caught these close-up images.

Soon, we decided that we shall not wait for the tram and took a scroll down to the Beach Station. This is where the Luge Station is. Paid and took a ride on the sky-train. Quite scarely though and I am impressed that my wife handled it well. She has a problem with height. The view was quite good and lucky enough that it was rather cloudy, so we did enjoyed the breeze on high grounds.

After the Luge race, we scrolled back to the hotel and stopped by the bicycle shop. We decided to rent the bicycle and this is our RED FERRARI. While returning the bicycle, I spotted this peacock and took a shot of it.

Finally, it is time to check-in. We went over to the reception located at this treehouse and got our keys. WOW!!!! RFID enabled meaning is touch and go. Not the usual slot card kind of key system.

YES YES YES!!! We got a free upgrade from standard room to deluxe room. The rate is SGD 221.00 per nite inclusive of breakfast. While walking back from the reception, I took this shot. Most rooms has door facing this greenery and waterfall that is connecting to the swimming pool.

Wow!!! Our room is just right outside the waterfall!!!

Opened the door and this is our room 504.

Oh. I decided to took this shot to remind me of a client who has called me during this period and got me working at Sentosa. This is my temporary command post setup to serve him. Haaa!!! I am sure if he read this, he will be damn mad at me!!!

Time for lunch. Sent an SMS to my client as I am too hungry to wait. Shall continue after lunch. Took the tram to Beach Station and change the Express Train to go to VIVO. This is the scenery around the Beach Station. Anyway, we got a unlimited entry pass for 3 days.

Reached VIVO and had Tim Sum at Food Republic. The standard has went down. 8(

On the way back, my wife spotted this interesting sight and I took a picture of it. This guys has a amazing out-grown of hair on his ear!!!! Seeing is believing.

Went back to the hotel to serve my client. Finally the work is done and I came out of my room and took this shot of the swimming pool.

I walked over to the beach and found this very nice drinking place. I definitely want to chio my drinking kakis to come here for a drink.

Do you feel thirsty now? Please help yourself with these supplies of coconut. 8)

Now, my wife has joined me at the beach and we walked further down and found my cousin-in-law building sand castle! Say cheese!!! Ha, got one shot of them only with their underwear. Will demand for money when they grow older.

And bottoms-up!!!! Haaaaa!!! They did it!!!! This one will worth alot of money.

Went back to our room to washup and we met for dinner. We came to this restuarant that serve very nice laska. Lobster Laska for SGD 16.90. Sydney pose for me and I took a shot of this cute little girl. Her brother Kevin always like to destroy the shot. Sigh.

After dinner, I bought tickets for all to watch the Song of the Sea. I felt bad that my uncle-in-law paid for all the expenses so far and we are certain that he will not accept payment for our room. Song of the Sea is a musical with fireworks, laser show and musical fountain all in one. The effect is great but the storyline wasn't that fantastic. One more point to add, I think they are not using sufficient actor/actresses and the stage really look empty.
Below are some video clips of the show.

After the show, we all went back to our room and rest.

I woke up at 5.00am to work and by 7.30am, we are at the cafe doing breakfast. They have very nice congee.

Soon, we all check-out from Sentosa and drove to Changi Airport. We called cab to take the rest to the airport as my car can only fit 5 including myself.
Soon, we bid farewell and I guess the next time we meet will be at Jarkata over Chinese New Year.

Hong Kong Day 5 - 2 Oct

This is our last day in Hong Kong. The flight is in the evening and therefore, we have almost the entire day to ourselves. Before setting off for our exploration, I found my wife playing with her cousin. Took a shot for them using my LG - K990. It comes with a 5 Megapixel Camera you know?

We took a train to Jordan and hoping to find some shopping. Unfortuantely, we did not manage to find the malls we were looking for and ended up back to Tsim Sha Tsui.

We shopped the entire day along the coastline of Kowloon. Plenty of shopping malls here. Soon, we headed back to the hotel and I took an hour off to move around the area myself. Fortunately, I found a small area where the traditional shops were. Took a few shots and left the scene.

At 5pm, our tour guide met us at the hotel and sent us to the airport. While they are checking in, I went over to the other corner of the airport (the walk took me 10min to and fro) to get Krisy Kreme after I have promised a dear friend. After I placed my order, I realise that I do not have enough money. I started to dig out all my coins and fortunate enough, I am short of HKD 10.00 which the girls gracefully writeoff for me. Sweat!!!

When I am back, the check-in is all done and I bid farewell with my tour guide who is in this picture. My wife found him cute and has been drooling over the entire trip. So I decided that I should make friend with this guy. Haaaa.

Indeed, he will be closer to me as the entire fleet cannot speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese apart from my wife who can do English. I have been the translator from Cantonese to English and my wife will then translate English to Bahasa Indonesia.

It was a interesting, exciting and tiring trip but we did enjoyed it. We soon left Hong Kong at 8.15pm on CX 715.
