17 Oct 08 - Birthday Celebration for Michelle

Day started with meetings. But what surprised me was that all my afternoon meetings were cancelled. In the end, I pick up my partner and have lunch at Old Airport Rd Market. This is the Wanton Mee that I love. After lunch, we went to meet a customer along Joo Chiat.


From Joo Chiat, I drove back to Seng Kang to pick up my wife and Jia Wei who will be joining us for the evening celebration. But before that, I need to drop off a document at my client's reception and also to fix a bug at a project site. We ended at early 6pm and went over to the steamboat restuarant. Thanks to Yuki for making all the arrangement. She really does her research.

Yummy. This is the steamboat that we all had. The food is nice and it cost us SGD 17.50 per pax. I think it is reasonable for the food quality provided.


Haaa.... then we started to tease Jia Wei and Wan Ling, cos they are single and this is their first meeting. Pose!!!!!

Nah... chemistry is still not strong. Try again. Yes!!!! this is a better pose.

After steamboat, we all went for Karaoke at PartyWorld. Nice place with good selection of song. As compared to Kbox, I prefer this one. My wife made the same comment too. Let's say happy birthday to the birthday girl - MICHELLE.

Got to service my car at 930am. My wife give a kick on my butt at 8.00am to wake me up. Goosh, only had 3 hrs of sleep. By the time, we got ready for breakfast, it was already 845am. I suggested that we send the car to the service center and go for iKEA breakfast. Sigh... this was a mistake.

We reached the car servicing center at 915am and checkin the car. By 930am, we got the assistance of the customer service officer to call a cab for us. We waited till 1015am and we decided to hail a cab on our own. I am so frustrated with the taxi service!

Finally, we reached iKEA at 10.30am and realise that the breakfast is over. Wat a bad bad day. We did not know wat alternative we have and fortunate enough, as we walked down to the exit, we spotted this place for breakfast.





This is our SGD 2.00 breakfast. Damn!

Not convince that I should settle for my breakfast this way. We walked over to Giant and ordered more food to make sure that I have a satisfied meal.

The rest of my day is more or less the same by servicing clients. Had Din Tai Fung for dinner. My wife ordered noodle and this fried prawn cake. Nice.

My favourite Fried Rice that is crazily expensive at SGD 9.50.

13 Oct - Dinner at Shudoku

My days are all packed with meeting and servicing customer. Did 3 meetings with my new contacts I made over BNI breakfast. Now I am worrying if I can get referral for my BNI member on Thu.

My last meeting was at City Hall and I did hit off quite well with this young lady, Ping Ping who is at her early twenties striking out on her own doing PR consulting, internal/external communications, marketing and branding. We more or less decided that we should meet up more often to develop business ideas and explore the opportunity to work together.

My wife came down to the city to have dinner with me. Ping Ping left for badminton game and we ended up at Shudoku. A nice place packed with Japanese food running Marche system of billing thru card. High Tech has found it way into F&B. Here are some pics of the place and the food we ate.


Was queuing to order drinks and saw this interesting sight. From this angle, it looks quite nice with the different blends of colours. So, took this shot and show it to my wife. She agreeed.


Finally, the best part, I order a Sukiyaki Beef set and my wife ordered a curry chicken cutlet set. With drinks all in, we paid SGD 33.00.

Oh I just remembered that I should be posting this beautiful song for all. This song was featured in the show Mama Mia and the lyrics has captured my attention. For ABBA Lovers, this song will not be any surprise to you. ABBA is a group that became famous in the 70's and I was less than 10 years old. 12 Oct 2008 - Another Dating Day!!!

Had an early night but we woke up at 9.15am. What do you want to eat ya? I asked my wife. This is a line that comes up every morning!!! So bored of asking already. But we made this into a joke. If she tell me dun know, my standard reply is "DUN EAT LOR".

This morning, we played the guessing game. Do you want to eat Mie Udang (Prawn Mee)? No!!! She wanted to eat roti prata!!!! Better for me, as I dun have to drive all the way to Thomson Rd. We settled for Roti Prata at Jalan Kayu (Road of Wood if you din know the meaning).

I ordered a Nasi Lemak and she ordered a Roti Prata with Egg and Onion.

After breakfast, we decided to take a trip to DownTown East again to check out the place. Oh. It is 11am when we reached that place. So we decided to take the lunch package from K-Box. It is singing time!!!



Halfway during our singing session, their system encountered a major disorder. So, they have to reset the entire system and all the rooms were affected. We took advantage of the time to go to the loo. Not bad, I took this shot at the washing area. I am amazed that they have such colourful basin.


After our singing session, we walked around the place for a while. If you are not aware, this place has a cinema with 6 screening hall. And on weekends, they operate 24 hrs. So, if you are damn bored after midnight, this is a place you can checkout on weekends.


Took the escalator to the lower floor. This is a place for kids. Parent can check in the kid to the playground and let them enjoy the obstacle course. They have a parenting centre here but I am not aware wat they are doing there. But it is crowded.



There is a indoor ferrywheel and the green chair belongs to a steamboat restuarant.


We moved to the lower floors and came back to FULL HOUSE to buy the ice milk tea. Highly recommended.





Just opposite FULL HOUSE is the bowling alley. Very well decorated and I particularly likes the entrance.

There are a few Hong Kong Style Cafe, Coffee Bean, New York Restuarant, Checkin Rice Specialty Shop, Korean Restuarant, Pastamania and many more. We provide more information when we visit these eateries.


It time we get back and I spotted this interesting product. It looks exactly like the old time roller-skate back in the 70's.


Left the scene and took a shot at the car park featuring the water theme park. We are going to visit this place once of these days.


We left home satisfied. Upon reaching home, I have some work to complete for my client while she continue with her U-Tube surfing. She found a very pretty celebrity who is an indonesian chinese. Her name is Sandra Dewi.

Ummm....i like this shot. A sporty look has always be appealing to me.




Guess, she is preparing for photoshoot. I like this shot as it capture her beautiful eyes.
