23 Oct 2008

Woke up at 6.00am as usual to attend my weekly networking meeting at BNI. Today, I brought a visitor who has started his business a couple month back. He is my friend at NUS and we have not met for almost 10 years. Great, he looks the same just put on a bit of weight.

After speaking to him, I am inspired and I really think he has most of the quality to make a business successful. I hope my BNI platform will be able to help him to achieve his dream. Pal, please visit his web site at http://www.mycafeadventures.com for more information.

Disclaimer: I am doing this out of my personal capacity and I am not his business partner nor a reseller. I am doing this to allow more people to know abt what he is doing that's all.

Did some networking and service a client after BNI.

My wife then came over to City Hall to meet me for dinner. Her favourite Crepe from Out of The Pan came via sms. Fine, so long she likes it. 8)

I suggested that we should not order any drink but go to a place we have not visited for a long long time. If you look this place, this is the entrance.

Took the lift to level 70 and this is wat we saw. Nicely decorated lobby area with dimmed light. It gives you a slow and relax sensation.

We walked in and was welcomed by lovely waitresses. Sat before the nice night view of Singapore. We ordered drinks and start chatting. Sigh..... seems that she is very interested in my activities with BNI members. Work again!!!

She reminded me that if BNI is not giving business, I shouldn't be continuing. Well, I guess she still doesn't understand that I am running a lonely business. I needed friends and support groups that can energize me. Well, if this is what she want me to prove, I am sure I can make it happen.

Nevertheless, though I was disappointed with the conversation, I did enjoyed the scenery. Just look at this. If I have an SLR with a density filter, taking a shot over a couple of seconds will probably deliver very nice photo effects.

This photo is taken using SONY T300, 10 megapixel camera.

Drinks are served and this is what we had. My was a creamy bailey - After Nine. My wife took a midori - Fusion Melon. Her drink is better. Sigh.

I slept shortly after we arrived home. So tired as I did not have sufficient sleep this week.

Nothing much in the morning but at 1030, I pickup my partner, Avinash to go for a meeting. Meeting went well and thing are just fine. It was lunch time and the challenging part comes, where should we go for lunch? It is a great challenge cos Avinash is a vegatarian. Well, thinking of a place which I always asked him to suggest, a life-saver came via sms - "Try Khansama at Science Park". I showed this to Avinash and he say, "Let me take you to where it started. The very original and authentic Khansama". Off we went to Little India.

What a good spread of food.

We ordered our dishes and waited for the serving. Ha!!! Took a shot of my nerdy partner. He may look nerdy but when he party, he is an animal. It has been a pleasure to know this friend.

They even have a up-market outlet but according to Avinash, they doubled the price.

While waiting for our food. This man that stand next to our table was constantly on the lookout for potential customer. Wow!!! He even shout across the street asking whoever he can spot if they would like to lunch. Very very agressive.

Finally the food came and we had an enjoyable and yummy lunch. It cost less than SGD 20.00 for 2 pax.

After lunch, I sent Avinash back to his office and I left for another meeting at Sin Ming. Soon, we left and went home to meet my wife for dinner.

It has been a long time since we last went to Ang Mo Kio Hub for dinner. Off we went and finally we decided to patronize Sticky Rice.
This is our favourite Red Curry Beef and Pandan Chicken.

Before we left for home, I wife bought some bread from BreadTalk.

Another day without meeting. We drove to this place for our breakfast. Anyone can recognize this place? Ya.... Upper Thomson Rd. Apart having the famous Roti Prata, we are here to have our Minced Pork Noodle.

The food looks good right? I bet with you, it taste good too.

After breakfast, we went to the nearby wet market at Shun Fu. I have to agree that though the structure is modern, it still take the form of the traditional wet market.

My wife is here to buy chicken breast to cook Japanese Curry Chicken Cutlet for lunch.

Again, I spent the rest of my day on projects and ended my day rather late.

20 Oct 2008

No meeting today, so I will be at home and be a very nice and obedient "boy". Most of the time was spent on my projects.

My breakfast/lunch was settled at this nicely decorated food court at Hougang Mall. There are lyrics of the very old rhymes that we used to sing in the older days. Come to experience the differences. I personally like this food court over others in Singapore. Generally, the food is quite good.

Vegetarian that I ordered. Tasty and recommended.

Our all time favourite. Yong Tau Fu. My wife want it dry, less oil, more sweet sause and a bit of chill sauce. 8)

Our dinner is settled at Buangkok - Sakura Restuarant (Halah). Below is their seafood fried ho fun and my wife's favourite Tom Yam Fried Rice. This has became my mother-in-law's favourite dish after she last visited Singapore.

My day end with working till late in the nite.

19 Oct 2008

Imagine you wake up in the morning and see this lovely spread of home-cooked food. Isn't it nice? Isn't it great? Thanks to my wife who has made this happened. I was having sore throat and she suggested to make me a simple breakfast like this.

After breakfast, I returned to my study room. What a mess? I have not been cleaning this place for months. OK. Let's do some tidying.

BEFORE

AFTER

After this, we left for Marina to catch our movie - Max Payne. The action was ok but rather SOP. The show has nothing to do with supernature but it is abt drug. Unless, you have watched all other shows, I would say, you can give this show a miss.

After our movie, we went to Old Town Coffee for late lunch. This place is situated along East Coast, the former big splash. It has been more happening after they reopen the place.

We ordered our drinks and food. My wife loves the kaya toast here.

This was happening outside Old Town Coffee. Looks to me like a massive garage sale.

Too bad, it begun to rain and we have to leave the scene. We can see the stall tenant preparing to weather proof their stall and merchandise.

Left for home and it was rest and relax there after.
